Embroidered Soft Baby Books

The genius in the above adorable embroidered soft baby book at Joanne's Craft Nook is that in between the felt pages she has used the liners from cereal boxes to give the pages a crinkly sound.  This would be a fun baby gift to make and give and you could vary the theme depending on the parent's interest, which is why it is going on my future projects list.

DIY JEWELRY DISPLAY FROM PAPER TOWEL TUBES.

This fabulous idea is from Blah to Tada! and is unbelievably made from empty paper towel tubes you then cover in felt. What a great way to upcycle paper towel tube into something useful!

FELT PLAYMAT HOUSE

I wish I had seen this when my son was little as he used to carry around cars with him in a bag to play with.

Cook Clean Craft posted a tutorial on how to make this clever house that turns into a playmat out of 25x30 inch piece of green craft felt and a few other pieces of felt, some iron-on interfacing and velcro. This would be great to make and give as gift to a child to take along to keep them entertained and you can also store a few vehicles in it also to go down the road.

These were featured on One Crafty Place and would be perfect addition to the Dollar Store Challenge project I am working on.
